We had a wonderful trip and are very happy altogether. Everything worked out very well.

In Zhangjiajie we were a little bit unlucky with the weather (no one can change that) and with the masses travelling (also something that cannot be changed). Because of the latter I am very glad that you suggested to visit the Gorge on arrival day already, we would never have made it on the second day (and it would have been in pouring rain).

The river cruise was excellent; although it being pretty expensive we most certainly appreciated the special treatment we received due to booking “executive”.

So I have already recommended this trip to colleagues and friends.

Unfortunately you do not offer any cruises on other parts of the river as far as I know.

The cruise was great, the scenery of the three gorges is really stunning.

Staff was very kind and caring, I was very amazed by that especially cruise manager Vincent Yi.

They kept making announcements in english eventhough we were only 2 non-chinese speakers onboard... That was great service!

The mood and style of the cruising company is definitely chinese as you advised me at the really beginning when you better advertised Century for foreigners... But everything remains very enjoyable. Even food was always provided with simple western dishes as pizza/pasta and toasts breads.

I am a German who is living and working in Shanghai since 3 years now. I do write this E-Mail because I don`t like to post in social media but wanted strongly to give you an feedback.

I made a vacation trip with your company from 25th of April to the 2nd May. Starting in Shanghai to the Avatar Mountains and then to Yichang to board Century Glory for a river cruise to Chongqing. From there back to Shanghai. I was very positively surprised about the trip. It was a lot better than I expected. It felt from the first to the last moment like a real vacation with no worries. I am very glad I made this trip. It was very interesting also good well planned trips from board or program on board. All crew members very nice, friendly and helpful. Everybody spoke at least a little English, so I had no problems at all. The cabins, food etc. excellent and always clean.

Please give my very big ;Thank you; to Mrs. Lyn Wang of your company who made all the arrangements for me of having my best vacation trip in China. She never got tired when I had questions or wanted to change something. She always came up with the best solutions.

I did recommend taking a river cruise to all my friends and working colleagues with your company.

Good morning! The cruise changed a lot compared to my first time. I think major influences are the changing environment if Yangtze, different program, and much less foreigners. You might know that foreigners usually enjoy different programs with more physical activity (more hiking than shopping) and enjoy are more silent surrounding. So let’s say this cruise is probably meanwhile more for Chinese nationals than expats/foreigners but most important is I could see the changes of Yangtze over the last more than 10 years and we also found some new friends.

I want to especially thank you for the great service you provided, the super quick feedback and always checking in with me. It’s exceptional and you have my deepest thanks for that. Do you/your agency also offer other trips? Would be glad to find more cooperation.

Hi Lyn, I had a good time once I upgraded my room. The room I had was a futon like bed that I would’ve had difficulty getting up from, barely any outlets and a too small shower. Also, the food in the main dining room was just okay. We ate in the VIP room the last night which the food was much better but it should be served as the regular food. The excursions were good. The staff was amazing. They checked in on us regularly and made sure we had English guides when leaving the boat. They took great care of us.

Happy China Trip

Dear Ms. Wang, 

Thanks for your email. My wife Tracy and I think of you often during the present crisis. We are very glad we were able to visit beautiful China last year, well before the present Corona Virus outbreak. It was a fantastic trip you put together for us with some very good hotels and wonderful guides and drivers. The hotel we settled on for Beijing was great and in a superb location, and Amy, our guide was the best.  The hotel in Ping Yao Ancient City was one of the best we have stayed at, ever, and the town itself was an amazing time capsule - similar to Williamsburg Virginia in the United States, or Louisbourg Nova Scotia in Canada. The hotel in Xian was also Outstanding, as was the hotel in Shanghai. Great drivers, too, in Beijing, Xian, and Shanghai, and the Luxury SUV in Shanghai was great (in wonderful contrast to the terrible train ride and unacceptable reception and vehicle we received on arrival in Shanghai... vehicle in Ping Yao was also below expectations.) 

Luoyang was also amazing, the only drawback there was the quality and location of the hotel. Excellent Museum, World Class. Amazing Grottos and Shao Lin Temple. We did try to do too much on our last day there. Had we cut out the last visit on the itinerary and taken an earlier train (and from a station further down the line instead of returning to Luoyang?) we might have had a better China Rail experience (which on other segments was pretty close to perfect.)  Wang Family Compound was Amazing.  (But that was Xian, yes?)

Thanks again for your concern for us during out trip while we were in China, then, and for our welfare as we deal with the Corona virus in the United States, now.  We are very glad to hear that you are well and that the Crisis is close to its conclusion there. 

We are currently under "voluntary quarantine" for the last week or so, expected to continue so at least for the next two weeks.  Essential travel only, which includes going to the grocery stores and pharmacies, which are still open, or to pick up from restaurants which are all now close except for carryout or delivery only.  Who knows how long this may take. I hope we will be able to handle as well as you have in China, if not better, and that all of us worldwide will see an end to the present crisis soon.  Although the world will never be the same again. Hopefully for the better.

Thank you for your email. We have now returned from our most interesting trip to China.
My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our cruise aboard Yangtze 8.
Unfortunately my wife had to return to Australia for medical reasons before the cruise and was not able to come with us.
The highlights - Andrew and I  particularly enjoyed the Little Three Gorges excursion and the Mini Three Gorges option as well. We chose the upstairs dining option and appreciated the quieter meals and friendly, helpful staff there.
I have included a couple of our pictures which you are welcome to use if you wish. I would recommend this cruise to others and thank you for your assistance in arranging our booking beforehand.

We had a wonderful time! The entire tour was beyond our expectation. Starting with Nancy from Chengdu, wonderful patient lady with good command of English. Our bullet train was great and the cruise was fantastic, great service, even even upgraded our cabin to suite. Our guide Charlie helped us for a nominal amount. He is very funny the great gorges museum was wonderful. The highlight of the trip was the three gorges lift which was optional tour every penny was worth it

I will definitely recommend you and your tour agency to my friends , we can’t stop talking about I to everyone we just arrived safely in manila today , also Nancy from Yichang was also great took us on a stroll along the river park and helped us at the airport , I will share some pictures soon take care and good luck Manny and babes (Aida).

Thank you very much for your email. Yes we have arrived home safely for over 1 week now. We would like to express our gratitude towards you for arranging the river cruise, the high speed train tickets and the car/driver/tour guide from Chongqing cruise terminal to airport. The cruise ship Century Diamond was safe and clean and all staff on board are courteous and efficient. The young lady serving in the VIP dining room was in particular excellent.

Here I would like to convey special thanks to our guide from the Chongqing cruise terminal to the airport. Her name is Fiona Liu (劉瑤). Flight flying out of Chongqing to Guangdong cities were totally paralysed on 16/9/18 due to typhoon arriving at the time. Although Ms Liu’s duty was to see us through check-in only, she had taken special efforts to see us put up in a hotel in Chongqing by China Southern until seats were available to continue our journey. Her comforting words at the time were God-send for an elderly couple like us. Please kindly pass on our sincere thanks to her.

Finally we are happy to see everything in China going so well and all people working in all trades are striving to make this great country even greater. We salute you all!

We have returned home on Wed early morning after the Yangtze River Cruise on Century Paragon. We have enjoyed the upstream cruise tremendously and thanks for making it possible for both of us. Our request for the choice of executive suite was acceded and we have had a comfortable stay on board the cruise ship (Day 1 Pic). The cruise ship managers, Jeffery and Nancy were helpful and friendly. They provided us with good advice and suggestions and there was never a dull moment on the cruise ship. We were treated with Captain's Bridge Tour (Wheel House) on Day 4 and it was an eye-opening experience. We got to see what's the captain does behind the wheel.

The shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam and the Ship Lift, boat excursion to the Goddess Stream and land excursion to Shibaozhai Pagoda were enjoyable. We would like to share five pictures  with you and you may place our feedback/comments and the 5 pictures at your website. We will recommend your cruise service to friends and family if they are keen on a cruise holiday.

I returned to Canada just yesterday after a wonderful 3 week journey through China and Mongolia.

I must say that the highlight of the whole trip was the 4-day-3-night cruise down the Yangtze ! The 'Century Sun' is a very modern cruise ship that provides an excellent level of service and comfort for a relatively modest cost. There was a good mix of western travellers, tour groups and Chinese passengers on board the ship so it was also a very good 'multi-cultural' travel experience as well. All the officers and crew on the ship worked very hard to make sure that every passenger enjoyed their 4 days on the Yangtse: the cabins were extremely comfortable and well appointed, the ship was kept spotlessly clean, the buffet meals were really exceptional and the shore excursions and side-trips only added to the overall excellence of the cruise. It was an outstanding travel experience and I would have no hesitation in recommending you, Tibet Discovery or Yangtse-River-Cruises to anyone.

It was unfortunate that my original plan to travel to Tibet had to be cancelled but the cruise down the Yangtse more than made up for that initial disappointment.

I would like to record my appreciation for the very efficient and professional manner in which (you) have handled all aspects of my booking and ticketing. You are a fine ambassador for your company and deserve every credit for providing a first-class level of service and complete customer satisfaction. I am very grateful.

We were only 3 weastern guest at the ship, and even if I and my husband managed without talking to any other guest, it would be my advice for you to give some information (if you can) about the guest profiles on the boat to other western clients.

Hi Lyn,

Everything went well on the cruise. I am glad we took the time to do that trip between busy days in Shanghai, Xi'an and Beijing. The cruise was as expected and we had no problems. Food was good, ship was very clean, service was good, tours from ship were good, etc.

The taxi driver who took us from the airport to the dock in Chongqing did not know where he was going but stopped to get directions. After the cruise we stayed at the Crown Plaza in Yichang and flew to Beijing the next day. No problems.

You were most helpful and I would certainly recommend you to others.

Booking for cruise was fine.

Information that would be useful to us will be the upgrade info that was offered and optional dinner on first nite when no included.

We did end up upgrading to higher floor and also the meal package. However as we only knew about the package and cost on checkin, there was limited options for the room /floor selection.

They were very nice to take care of us when we told them we were celebrating our 18th anniversary. They sent a cake to our table at dinner - unexpected surprise and lovely gesture. When we cruise in the US, usually we get wine at table. Since our upgraded meal included wine, the cake was very nice as we could share with other guests and make new friends.

Yes, I would recommend your service to our friends traveling to China.
