Hello Wing,

We thoroughly enjoyed the Yangtze Cruise & the upgrade to Shangri-la suite was well worth the extra cost. The 3 Gorges Tribe visit was a highlight as were the visits to pandas, Wuhou Shrine & Renmin Park in Chengdu.

However, the 3 Gorges Dam visit was not enjoyable with guides screaming into microphones & in fact it is easier to see it from the road. The 10rmb to get ticket for golf cartride is only small amount & is during the tour so it should be included in the overall price.

Thank you for your email.  I am just settling back in after the end of my vacation.  We had a great time on the cruise!  

1) The tour arrangements were excellent.  We appreciated the English-speaking guides and the planned excursions were very interesting.  

2) No changes for service improvement, everything was great.

3) Yes, I would use the service again.

One favor I would like to request is that I have not yet received the fapiao from the boat.  We paid for beverage packages, food upgrades, and other items on the ship so I was hoping to get a (personal) fapiao for that.  Are you able to request that?

Hi Wing,

This was a nice relaxing journey with attentive crew. The cabins were good even on the lower decks. The included tours were all interesting and led by knowledgeable English speaking guides. The cruise we were on was only half booked so there was plenty of room around the ship and in the restaurant. A mix of Chinese and western travellers on board.

You made the booking process a breeze and assisted with a number of other queries including contacting the ship to confirm the dock for us and providing it in English and Chinese. I would recommend the cruise booking your agent.

Good Day Ms. Wing

Yes were returned home safely. But I returned with a head cold. I am back to work and my husband continues to enjoy retirement life.

We were very, very pleased with our tour. Our experience was beyond our expectations starting with our tour sites and hotels. We were able to experience transportation that we don’t have here in our area, like the bullet train, subway.

Our tour guides Mr Jeans, Ms Alice, Ms Fay, and Zack were fabulous guides. They all had great knowledge of the English language and of sites visited.

Our only somewhat bad experience was our driver from Chongqing to ship. He drove recklessly and we have no knowledge if Mr. Charlie brought it to the driver’s attention.

Yes, you have our permission to use our comments, pictures and email.

We would definitely use your services again and will definitely recommend it to those interested. Looking back we wished we could have had more time to stay.

Sorry for my late response, I was offline for more than two weeks. Now I am returning to my busy life.

Unfortunately I don't have any photos with me, but I agree to let you put my evaluation on your website, if it is of any help.

(1)  How do you like our tour arrangements and are you willing to recommend our service to your friends?

I loved the tour arrangements. Your services were highly appreciated. We enjoyed our trip, not only on board on the Century Diamond, but also in the pre board, when you helped us to arrange everything. Thank you so much, miss Wing!

(2)  Do you have some suggestions for us to improve our service?

We only had one problem.... Arriving to the harbour in Chongqing. None of taxis would agree to pick up us, apparently because there is a city regulation, and certain plates can enter to that area on certain dates. Of course, it is not your fault, but I think other customers would appreciate that piece of information. It was quite difficult to understand that with our poor Chinese. :(

(3)  If you come to China again, would you like to use our service again?

If I need to take a cruise, of course I would like to use your service again. I usually like to travel on my own. But I would recommend yoyr company to other people definitely.

Dear Mrs Wing Zeng,

thanks for asking - yes, I am back home and busy again, but after having enjoyed 4 weeks of fabulous individual roundtrip through China.

Please find my answers to your questions below:

(1) The visit of Fengdu was ok, the visit of the Three Gorges Dam was a bit disappointing because I have expected to enter the technical section or at least to walk over the dam. The additional arrangements (White Emperor City, sailing through Three Gorges Dam, etc.) were very expensive, so that we only chose "Lesser and Mini Three Gorges". That trip was also ok.

Honestly speaking: We came from Yunnan province, where we had excellent weather and where we had visited marvellous ancient cities and temples in beautiful nature. In contrast to that Fengdu was just average and the river banks of Yangtze river often covered by ugly beton cities.

The service itself I would recommend to friends.

(2) The service was excellent, the staff very nice and helpful. No ideas for improvement.

(3) I would use your service again - but for another purpose than a Yangtze cruise :-)

A. The Yangtze River cruise was excellent. From embarkation to check in, cabin, food and the accompanying itinerary...till yichang.

B. Pretty much up to expectation, except may be the cruise could have provided a souvenir or memento to each guest for a long lasting memory-example: s Victoria Anna Mug!

C. I m keen to go to Tibet and Hunan. Any package that your highly recommend? I am most interested on excursion to exotic yunan with Lijiang or shangrila and hilltribes with padifields, n mystical Tibet highlands.

Here my answer to your questions:

1)    How do you like our tour arrangements and are you willing to recommend our service to your friends?

Surely!

The arrangement was great and we are absolutely satisfied. And we are spreading this to our friends and colleagues

2)    Do you have some suggestions for us to improve our service?

Not all the guides are appropriate.

Diana (Chongqing) was absolutely great. Even if it was involve in a simple transfer, she provided a lot of information and really great support looking for the porter and arranging it to the ship (including the stairs).

The guy at Yichang, replacing Amanda, was too hasty. Providing us limited information, having not the tickets ready and leaving immediately the station after a really quick brief (for example: he informed us about the boarding pass/ticket procedure on the train but we were not informed how to identify the coach).

Joy was not so bad, but not providing much information and not properly informed on the "busy hours". Indeed she was not aware of the opening of the wing suit championship.

Letting us impact quite substantial queues in visiting Tianmen Mountain.

All the drivers have been good. The driver in Zhangjiajie was absolutely great (fast, safe and available).

The hotels have been absolutely good and the ship provided a high level accommodation. That was great.

3)    If you come to China again, would you like to use our service again?

Dear Wing,

I want to congratulate you for the excellent service you provided to our group’s recently concluded China Tour. We are pleased with all the travel arrangements you made for us, the planning was meticulous and well thought out and just right.

You have always been on top of everything from the moment we presented you with our travel ideas and it was pleasure to see how you responded to our needs and questions prior to the tour and during the tour and making yourself available to all our needs 

We had few issues down the trip  - needed medical help to one of us  – your immediate response and stepping up to help, arranging medical help and facilitating the transfer was much appreciated. The speed of response and managing the process was excellent and was indeed a great help for all concerned – you are the best and I am glad you were our travel agent.

We also encountered few other setbacks (1) you also, took action to change the unprofessional Tour guide on the 1^st day of our tour - within few hours of my email and replaced with an excellent Tour guide. (2) Helped us, with two other members who missed their in-bound flight.

Each step of our journey we were met by professional guides and drivers (never late!) We were impressed. Our appreciation and admiration of the guides and drivers during our journey remain deeply in our fond memory the exception is Vivian – very unprofessional, rude and does not have the quality to be a guide the only sore point of the tour.

I would like to recommend the following two guides for their exceptional service and delivery – MR Kai in Beijing and Ms. Tutu in Zhangjiajie and these two are the best travel guides we came into contact. Kai is very knowledgeable about history and perfect spoken English. He explains with animations and lot of pride in his work. He is also very caring and always opened for questions and concerned with our safety. Tutu too was knowledgeable, good explanations in English, caring and she was always there to help us by staying with the group till late nights to accompany us to restaurants and help us with the food selection – she was so gentle, kind, caring about our security and wellbeing and touched our hearts.

The Tour company please take note that  Ms. Wing was exceptional and she was there for us throughout our tour and helped us with all our needs,  All the best to China discovery and again accept our heartfelt appreciation and thanks to Wing for her excellent service and she is the best – China Discovery should be proud to have at their service such a talented Travel agent.

This is not the last of our visit to China. There are still so many places to explore, and we will definitely stay with China Discovery and Wing, and will highly recommend them to all my family and friends. Please, share this note with your Manager.

I will provide you more details about our experience with the River Cruise, food, Hotels and sites visited  etc. in my next email and I encourage everyone in our group to provide their feedback as well.

We are doing well, continuing our big trip, this time in Vietnam. We didn't take good pictures to show, here are the answers to your questions:   

(1) We enjoyed your service a lot, because everything was easy, clear and pleasant. We will definitely recommend your company to our friends. 

(2) I'm not sure if it's your responsibility, but the information about Gathering point could be improved. It was a bit confusing to find a meeting point in front of Crowne Plaza, we used DiDi that doesn't have this direction. Plus almost no-one speaks English, so we misunderstood the question about luggage at the shuttle ticket office and had to pay a service that was unnecessary (we thought that we need to buy storage in the trunk, but it was porter hiring). 

(3) Its very probable that we will use your service again, because there is a lack of English speaking companies focused on international tourism.

Hello Wing,

Thank you for your follow up email.  We arrived back home in the United States over the weekend, and after several days of resting to recover from our very busy trip (and jet lag!) we are back to work and our usual schedule. Our trip to China was amazing!  We saw so many wonderful sites, learned a lot about your history and culture, and met some wonderful people!  The Chinese people are very welcoming!

Everything with the part of the trip that you arranged for us went very well!  We did not have any problems at all, and all of our guides met us as scheduled and provided wonderful service.  Particularly, our guide Mark, on our tour April 2 to the Great Wall and other sites in Beijing, was great!  We had a lot of fun with him and would highly recommend him to others!  He was very informational, was flexible to ensure we had enough time at the sites we visited, and was a lot of fun to spend the day with!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Yangtze River Cruise and your services were absolute great and effortless. The cruise accommodated everyone from all ages and genders. My two fathers were fascinated with the Three Gorges dam Project and my Mothers with the luxury and relaxation on the boat as well as the service and evening performances. My baby girl was also well accommodated for apart from a cot for her, i would suggest getting a baby crib for a family who wants to bring an infant.

It’s great to hear from you and thank you for following up on our 3-week visit to China and Thailand to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. We’ve just returned and called it our ‘Second Honeymoon Adventure’! The Yangtze River Cruise we booked through you was one of five different things we had planned.

The cruise exceeded our expectations – it was everything described and more. Every day was an adventure in itself. We booked the‘President No 7’– The accommodation was luxurious (we booked a Deluxe Cabin for the extra space), the service impeccable, the food absolutely delicious (with such a wide variety), the excursions amazing (with super guides), and the scenery stunning! I would recommend it to anyone!!!

Just a couple of minor points to help for the future. Our cabin was advertised as having a double bed – it was two singles pushed together! The sun deck (which was spacious) could have done with more loungers and also having part of it with a canopy for when you need to be out of the sun.

Thank you for the brilliant service you have given personally from the moment I contacted you and through the whole booking (and follow-up) process. Thank you too for helping to make our time of celebration so very special.

We arrived back home in Germany yesterday. We had a very good cruise :)

It was great! Everything was fine!

2. Are you willing to recommend our service to those who would like to come to China ?

Definitely, yes.

3. Your general opinion on us?

Super ship, nice cabins, nice and friendly staff. Good program and very good food. It was a bit unfortunate that there was no free wifi. We would have liked to leave the ship while it was designed to do guided tours, in which we did not want to participate.

4. What will be your suggestions regarding how to improve our services?

Free wifi! The possibility to leave the ship for tours on your own.

5. Frankly, our company can also provide online the Yangtze River and Tibet travel services, I hope we have chance to serve you again!

If I travel again to China I will definitely consider this
