Chengdu Airport & Flights

Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is 16 km southwest to the center of Chengdu city. It has flights to 119 domestic destinations in China including Beijing, Xian, Shanghai, Guilin, Lhasa, Jiuzhaigou, Kunming, Guiyang, Lijiang, Zhangjiajie, Qingdao, Xiamen, Wuhan, Sanya, Nanjing etc. Also international and regional passenger flights are connected Chengdu with Hong Kong, Macao, Amsterdam, London, Frankfurt, Melbourne, San Francisco, Seoul, Tokyo, Singapore, Bangkok and more cities.

Flights from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou

Transfer Tips: Visitors could take taxi or airport shuttle bus to get to the downtown. There are three main train stations in Chengdu, Chengdu North Railway Station (also Chengdu Railway Station), Chengdu East Railway Station and Chengdu South Railway Station. Train from Chengdu to Lhasa

There is only one train T22/T23 from Chengdu to Lhasa running on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. It takes about 41 hours and 37 minutes on the train.

Train from Chengdu to Chongqing

There are 21 daily D trains from Chengdu to Chongqing which takes only 2 hours. Travelers could take the high speed trains from Chengdu East Railway Station and Chengdu Railway Station to Chongqing North Railway Station.

Chengdu Intercity Train

Travelers could take intercity train from Chengdu to Mount Qingcheng, Dujiangyan, Leshan, Emeishan.

From Xinnanmen Bus Station (also Chengdu Tourist Transportation & Service Center), travelers could get to Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Spots, Mount Emei, Ya’an Bifengxia Scenic Area, Kangding, Luding, Jiuzhaigou, Hailuogou, Yinbin, Daocheng County, Luodai Ancient Town and Pingle Ancient Town and more places in Sichuan.

Taxi is a convenient way to get around Chengdu. The basic base for taxi fare is at 8 Yuan for the first two kilometers and increase at 1.9 Yuan per kilometer. It is very easy to get a taxi in the stations, airport, tourist attractions and hotels.

At present, there are Line 1 and Line 2 in Chengdu. Line 1 runs from north to south between Shenxian Lake and Century City, passing through the Wenshu Temple, Chengdu North Railway Station, Tianfu Square (the center of Chengdu) and Chengdu South Railway Stations. Line 2 is a new metro, the crosstown northwest-southeast trunk route. It provides rapid transit to Chengdu East Railway Station.
