Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport: Chongqing Flights 2024

By the end of October 2024, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport has linked with nearly 160 destinations, with over 200 domestic airlines and 30 international airlines, and over 1000 daily flights to cities home and abroad.

International Flights

Travelers can reach Chongqing and set out from Chongqing by nonstop international flights connected with cities in Western Europe (London, Paris, Rome, Milan, Madrid, Budapest), America (Seattle), Oceania (Sydney), Asia (Dubai, Doha, Seoul, Osaka, Nagoya, Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Kathmandu, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Phuket, Phnom Penh, Jakarta), etc. Notably, there's no flight to all international destinations every day so it's highly recommended that you check flights ahead of time and then plan your schedule accordingly.

Domestic Flights

Jiangbei Airport connects directly with nearby domestic cities such as Guilin (1.5 hrs), Xian (1-1.5 hrs), and Kunming (1.5-2 hrs), and numerous hot domestic cities like Beijing (2.5-3 hrs), Shanghai (2.5-3 hrs), Guangzhou (2-3 hrs), Shenzhen (2-2.5 hrs), Hangzhou (3 hrs), Sanya (2.5-3 hrs), Xiamen (2 hrs), Fuzhou (2 hrs), etc. Moreover, there are also nonstop flights to and from Hong Kong (1.5-2.5 hrs), Macao (2.5 hrs), and Taipei (3-3.5 hrs).

Currently, there are two terminals in Jiangbei Airport in operation - Terminal 2 (T2) and Terminal 3 (T3). Terminal 1 is undergoing renovations and is temporarily closed. International airlines and a small portion of domestic airlines such as China Southern (CZ), Shanghai Airlines (FM), Shenzhen Airlines (ZH), etc., arrive at and depart from T3, while the majority of domestic airlines land at and depart from T2. You can simply refer to your flight information to determine your arrival terminal.

T2 and T3 are situated 12 kilometers away, and travelers have multiple convenient options to transfer between them. These include a free 30-minute shuttle bus service (available from 5:00 to 24:00, running every 30 mins), a 13-minute ride on light rail line 10, or a 40-minute journey with airport express K01.

By Car (40 mins)

Taking a private vehicle is the fastest way to get to Chaotianmen Dock, which is 24 km (40 mins' drive) from Jiangbei Airport.

By Airport Express (1 hr 20 mins)

Travelers landing at Jiangbei Airport can take airport express K01 which runs every 30 minutes from 8:30 for 65 minutes from T3 to Jiefangbei Station directly and then take a car for 15 minutes to get to Chaotianmen Dock.

By Rail Transit Lines (1 hr 10 mins)

Or travelers can take rail transit lines with at least one transfer in the midway for 1 hr 10 min, and then take a car for 5 minutes to arrive at Chaotianmen.

Wulong Karst Geopark is in the suburban Wulong County, around 190km (3hours' drive) from Chongqing downtown. There' s no direct transportation from Jiangbei Airport to Geopark.

By Car (2 hrs 50 mins)

The most convenient transportation is a private vehicle. Travelers can get to the scenic area directly by taking a car for 2 hrs 50 mins.

By Train + Shuttle Bus / Car (3 hrs)

The first option is by train. Chongqing North Railway Station which is 19km (23 mins' drive) from the airport has 8 daily trains from 08:00 - 19:40 in operation to Wulong Railway Station. Travelers can take a 2-hour train ride to Wulong Railway Station and take a shuttle bus or a private vehicle to Wulong Fairy Mountain Tourist Center where travelers can take another tourist bus to the scenic area. The entire journey takes 3 hours, not including waiting time for the train.

By Coach (3.5 hrs)

Alternatively, visitors can first transfer to the Sigongli Transportation Hub which is 26 km away from Jiangbei Airport for 0.5 hours and take a 2.5-hour coach to the Wulong Fairy Mountain Tourist Center. Then, visitors can get on a tourist bus for 15 minutes to the Wulong Karst scenic area at the tourist center. The whole journey takes about 3.5 hours.

Dazu Rock Carvings lies outside Chongqing downtown, about 110km from Jiangbei Airport.

By Car (1 hr 40 mins)

Travelers can reach Dazu Rock Carvings directly from the airport by car for 1 hr 40 mins.

By Coach (2.5 hrs)

Visitors can take a coach for nearly 2 hours at T3 Coach Station (every 1 hour from 9:30 to 13:30, from 15:30 to 18:30, and at 20:00) to get to Dazu Coach Station, followed by a 1-hour tourist bus or 25-minute car ride to the Tourist Center.
