There are two international airports served the metropolis Shanghai - Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport. Every day, many airlines and flights are connected Shanghai with domestic and international cities.
Flights to Shanghai from other domestic cities in China: Beijing, Xian, Chengdu, Guilin, Lhasa, Kunming, Qingdao, Xiamen, Wuhan, Nanjing, Zhangjiajie, Huangshan, Sanya, Zhengzhou, Jinan, Taiyuan, Guiyang, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dalian, Changsha and more cities.

Shanghai Pudong Airport
The airport is located 30 km from downtown Shanghai. Travelers could take airport shuttle bus, metro Line 2, maglev train, bus, taxi to reach the center city.
Shanghai Hongqiao Airport
Hongqiao Airport is located 13 km west from downtown Shanghai. Travelers could take taxi, airport shuttle, and metro line 2 to transfer to the central area of Shanghai city.
Shanghai Pudong International Airport
By Train
There are several train stations in Shanghai and the mainly used ones are Shanghai Railway Station, Shanghai South Railway Station, Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, and Shanghai West Railway Station. Both high speed trains and fast trains are served at these stations. Visitors could go from Shanghai to Suzhou, Hangzhou, Beijing, Nanjing, Huangshan, Chengdu, Xian, Tianjin, Qingdao, Zhengzhou, Xiamen, Nanchang, Jinan, Changsha and more cities in China.
High Speed Train from Shanghai to Suzhou
Plenty of G trains and D trains go from Shanghai to Suzhou. Most of the high speed trains depart from Shanghai Railway Station to Suzhou Railway Station. Some are from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station to Suzhou North Railway Station. It takes only 20-30 minutes one way. Services are available from 06:00 to 22:20 every day.
High Speed Trains from Shanghai to Hangzhou
It is very convenient to travel from Shanghai to Hangzhou. Lots of daily G trains and D trains depart from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station to Hangzhou Railway Station and Hangzhou East Railway Station. It takes about 1 hour one way.

For those who want to travel in a relaxing way, you could take an upstream Yangtze River cruise from Shanghai. Get around Shanghai
By Taxi
Taking a taxi is a fast and convenient way to get around Shanghai. In the daytime, the basic price is 14 Yuan for the first 3 kilometers and an additional charge of 2.4 Yuan for every succeeding kilometer within 10 kilometers and 3.6 Yuan for every succeeding kilometer after 10 kilometers.

There are altogether 11 lines (Line 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11) of Shanghai metro rapid-transit system and elevated light rail. It connects the main stations, sites and attractions like Pudong International Airport, Shanghai South Railway Station, Shanghai Railway Station, Shanghai West Railway Station, People’s Square, Nanjing Road, Zhongshan Park, Jing’an Temple, Shanghai Science and Technology Museum etc.

By Maglev Train
The fast maglev train runs between Shanghai Longyang Road Subway Station and Pudong International Airport. The 30 kilometers journey takes only 7 minutes and 21 seconds at a maximum speed of 431 km/h.
Longyang Road Station: first maglev train at 06:45; last train at 21:30;
Pudong Airport Station: first maglev train at 07:02; last train at 21:32.
