If you need, you can do it at some areas during your way on shore excursion visits, but better not in the tourist area. Please contact us directly if you are planning a cruise trip to the Yangtze! Can we bring a small iron to our cabin?
Thanks for your questions! You are suggested to wear some formal attire at both the Captain’s Welcome Party and the Captain’s Farewell Night. However, there is no strict requirement about dressing for the parties and dinners onboard, because the cruises also want you to enjoy your vacation. If you want to join those occasions with better experience, we suggest ladies prepare long skirts (or knee length) and comfortable kitten heels or low heels, and gentlemen prepare casual shirts, casual suits and thin shoes.
Besides, you can bring a small iron with you, as long as it meets the electricity standard. All the power sockets onboard Century Diamond are of 220V in Chinese types.

Do you have the price list for each land excursions along the river and the time allocated for them?
Thanks for your question! There is no strict limitation about the luggage. You can take your luggage onboard if your luggage can get through the airport security.
There is no extra expense for shore excursions like Shibaozhai Pagoda, Shennv Stream and Three Gorges Dam Site. They all have been included in your ship itinerary. Other optional shore excursions like Fengdu Ghost City (290 RMB/pp), White Emperor City (290 RMB/pp), Ship Lift (218 RMB/pp), Tribe of Three Gorges (290 RMB/pp) need extra expense and you can choose the excursions you are interested in. Each shore excursion above takes about 2.5-3 hours except the Ship Lift for about 1.5 hours.
Please note that all shore excursions are subject to change due to weather, river conditions and permission from the navigational authorities. The cruise company will arrange the same fabulous sightseeing if the prearranged sites cannot be visited in a particular case.

Thanks for your questions! You can exchange US dollar into CNY (Chinese Yuan) onboard Century Cruises. Actually, Century Cruises offers 24-hour foreign currency exchange service on board. You can contact the Front Desk on deck 2, and the real time currency rate is displaying at Reception desk. And, both CNY (Chinese Yuan) and US dollar are acceptable onboard Century Cruises, but you are more recommended to pay with CNY.

Thanks for your question! Onboard Century Paragon, compulsory ship tip (about 150 RMB) is required to be paid when checking in at the reception counter. The tip is for the whole sailing. The detailed tip amount differs from different cruise lines and will be specified in our confirmation letter, please kindly note this so that inconvenience can be avoided. During the daily ship life on board, there is no other compulsory ship service fee required, but you can pay some tip to the stuff if you think she/he has provided excellent service to you.

Usually, there is no food offered included in your itinerary on the embarkation day. however, if you want to enjoy the dinner onboard Century Paragon, you could tell the reception desk in advance when you check in, order some dishes and drinks you like, and give the payment, so the staff there would prepare that for you. Also, if you have any needs about your food, like less salt, less sugar, etc., just feel free to tell them in advance for at least half a day before the meal.

For downstream from Chongqing to Yichang, Century Paragon arrange the embarkation from about 18:00-21:00, and it would depart from Chongqing at about 21:00, therefore, you are suggested to arrive at the Chaotianmen Port and board the cruise before 21:00. Since it needs about 40-60 minutes from Chongqing Jiangbei Airport and you would spend some more time collecting your luggage, waiting for the vehicle and finding the way, it is advised to plan 1.5 hours and more after your landing and before your embarkation. Moreover, as there are often traffic jams during late afternoon and night in Chongqing, you are highly suggested to book a flight arriving in Chongqing before 16:30.
If you are taking an upstream cruise from Yichang to Chongqing, the boarding time is during 19:00-22:30, and ship would start sailing the next morning. As it needs about 40-80 minutes from Sanxia Airport to Taohuacun Port, if you want to board on time, it is advised to take a flight arriving in Yichang before 16:00.
Onboard Century Paragon, there are food provided during the three meals included in your itinerary. If you need to order some other food, snacks and drinks, you could tell the reception desk about your needs, and they would tell the cruise kitchen to prepare it. And the service needs extra charges.

Thank you for the good question. Yes, WI-FI service is offered around the entire Century Paragon cruise but needs extra payment, and as I know it needs about 200RMB for one whole trip. You could know the detailed price after boarding. If you want to use it, just tell the reception desk onboard and give the charge, and they will help you link your mobile phone, computer or tablet PC to the Internet. Besides, if you book the Executive Suite or Presidential Suite, you could enjoy the WI-FI access in the Executive Lounge for free and many other value-add amenities and complimentary services.

For your Yangtze River cruise sailing trip, the transfer between airport/hotel and cruise terminal in each port city, fees of optional shore excursion sites, personal expenses such as laundry, clinic service, faxes, telephone calls, spa, salon, shopping, Internet, DVDs, etc., any meals not specified with “B”, “L”, “D”, and single room supplement are not included in the quotation, and you can give extra payment to enjoy. Besides, there is a mandatory tip requited to be paid when you checking in the cruise, you can pay at the reception counter.
Every cabin onboard Century Paragon has a private balcony for the sightseeing enjoying of guests onboard. You could sit on the chairs there to spend some leisure time alone or with your friends and family.
