Wuhan Airport & Flights

Wuhan Tianhe International Airport is 26 km from Wuhan city center, located in Wuhan’s suburban Huangpi District. There are flights to/from Beijing, Shanghai, Xian, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Xiamen, Kunming, Chongqing, Guiyang, Tianjin, Qingdao, Hohhot, etc. International flights serve Hong Kong, Macau, Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, Seoul, Osaka, Paris, Chiang Mai etc.

Transfer Tips: There are seven airport shuttle buses operating service between airport and city center. Route 5 is running from Wuhan Tianhe Airport to Wuhan Railway Station. The service time is 9:00, 10:20, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00, and 18:00. The time and service may adjust according to the flights to Wuhan. Please check the detailed time after your arrival.

Wuhan is a railway hub, connected by direct trains with most of China’s major cities. There are three main train stations in Wuhan, Wuhan Railway Station, Wuchang Railway Station and Hankou Railway Station. Travelers could take high speed trains from these train station. Please make clear location of the train stations and which station you are going to take the trains.

Wuhan Shanghai High Speed Trains

Both G trains and D trains are served between Wuhan and Shanghai. Travelers could take the high speed trains from Wuhan Railway Station, Hankou Railway Station and Wuchang Railway Station. It only takes 5-6 hours on the journey.

Wuhan Beijing High Speed Trains

The Wuhan Beijing high speed train journey only takes about 5 and half hours. Traveler could board the G trains and D train from Wuhan Railway Station to Beijing West Railway Station.

Wuhan Yichang High Speed Trains

From Wuhan to Yichang, travelers could both D trains and G trains from Wuhan Railway Station and Hankou Railway Station to Yichang East Railway Station. Many high speed trains are operating this rail line. It takes about 2 hours.

Wuhan Xian High Speed Trains

Every day, there are several G trains running from Wuhan to Xian. Travelers could the high speed trains from Wuhan Railway Station to Xian North Railway Station. It takes about 4.5 hours.

Wuhan Chongqing Yangtze River Cruise

There is only one Yangtze River cruise Victoria Sophia running Chongqing Shanghai line and stopping in Wuhan city. Cruisers could board or disembark the cruise ship at Wuhan Port. If you prefer a Yangtze River cruise from Wuhan, it will be an upstream cruise, taking 6 days and 5 nights. If you board your Yangtze cruise from Chongqing and disembark in Wuhan, it will be a downtown voyage, taking 4 days and 3 nights. By taking the cruise line, you could enjoy great attractions and shore excursions in Wuhan, Yichang, Chongqing and along Three Gorges. You won’t miss the world project Three Gorges Dam Site.

The starting price for a taxi is 10 Yuan for 3 kilometers. It's 1.8 Yuan for every additional kilometer after 3 kilometers.

When you get in a regular taxi, make sure they use their meters. Also make sure that you bring small bills.

At present, Wuhan has three metro lines, Line 1, Line 2 and Line 4.

Visitors could take subway from Wuhan Railway Station, Wuchang Railway Station and Hankou Railway Station, Hanyang Railway Station to the downtown area. Line 1 runs service from 05:45 to 22:30. While Line 2 and Line 4 run service from 06:00 to 22:30.
